The book is a gift for my adult children and their families. It contains many different stories, recipes and tidbits about how much Christmas means to people of all ages. I happened to come across the book in a restaurant store, bought it to give to someone, after reading some of the stories myself I decided to spread the joy to my family. I intend to give them an early Christmas gift and will wrap it for them and give it to them for Thanksgiving. That way they can enjoy stories and maybe follow some of the recipes, and have a Christmas book forever. I do have a collection of Christmas books, and place them around the house for the season.

This was honestly a great book for young adults

This was honestly a great book for young adults. It captured my attention and I couldn't put it down for hours straight. It was emotional, and had ups, downs and twists you'd never see coming. I truly enjoyed reading this book, and would like for the author to write a second part to this. It's a great read for teenagers out there, and I would recommend for everyone to buy it. I bought 8 books to gift to families and kids out there. Great work.

Absolutley Obsessed

I rarely put five stars, but this book is just that great. The last time I cried over a book was years ago and this one seriously pulled some heartstrings. This book deserves five stars so much, and I'm obsessed with it even if I haven't finished. (I'm on chapter 18).
I could say more, but I'm pretty much speechless, here. If you haven't read it, I encourage you to.

It deserves to be read

Assassin truly sucked me in with every turn of the page. I'd recommend this book to young adult readers, although it's fit for everyone over the age of twelve. Her bond with the Prince of Astodia is one I hope will never break, no matter where they are. It was emotional, hilarious, and thought-provoking.The main character, Adalia, teaches that no matter what conditions you were raised under and how pressured you can be to make a choice, your heart always knows what the right decision is. The moral is that anyone can create their own future. In the end, you will always find your way.

Credit goes to the sixteen year old author who managed to put this page-turner together.

I'm looking forward to hearing more from Adalia in book two. I hope her adventures never come to an end.

Do not buy the Kindle version of this book. Virtually all of the examples are rendered as pictorial images, rather than as text, and the right-hand side of each image is cut off. You will miss many of the words in the examples.

It is a mystery to me why McGraw-Hill cannot figure out how to prepare Kindle versions of its books that are actually readable on a Kindle device.

Still a classic discussion of chronic ennui

Kuhn's work has stood the test of time. The problem of chronic ennui is one of the most important issues facing our time. A silent malady of the soul traceable back to the Ancient Greeks Kuhn leaves us in no doubt that the apathy and sadness of this malady is not merely the product of our own period - though it seems to be much more pronounced in our own time. Prodigious research, immense stamina, the work took almost ten years to complete. A largely unknown classic. See also George Steiner's 'In Blue Beard's Castle', Sean Desmond Healy's 'Boredom self and Culture', and other texts on what Schopenhauer called 'the malady of the modern age'.As a PhD researcher on the topic I feel myself to be following in the footsteps of the master.
